PURCHASE LIMITED EDITION POSTERS FOR BEIRUT DISASTER RELIEF
The August 4th Beirut explosion confirmed that we can only rely on our community to rebuild Beirut and provide relief for victims affected by the disaster. We’ve witnessed the community’s support in many forms, from sweeping the streets of Beirut, to providing essentials and donations, to letting our loved ones know we’re here for them.
To help contribute to the relief effort, I’ve created limited edition posters where all profits will be donated to a non-profit organization making a difference in Beirut. I chose to photograph flowers for my still life posters because they represent beauty, hope and happiness which is everything August 4, 2020 wasn’t. Gerbera flowers, photographed below, have bold, lively hues which are juxtaposed against a dark, black backdrop symbolizing my (our) relentless hope for Lebanon vs the current socioeconomic situation.
Where is your money going? The limited edition posters are priced at $40, the cost of printing amounts $16, while the cost of mailing tubes and shipping is complimentary. Each purchase will result in a donation of $24 to Impact Lebanon, a non-profit organization that brings the community together to pursue initiatives that deliver impact for Lebanon. Impact Lebanon is currently raising £7,500,000 to provide disaster relief after the explosion in Beirut and have reached 84% of their goal with over 170,000 supporters. Every donation counts. They’ve already donated a portion of the money raised to the Red Cross Lebanon, Arcenciel, Beit al Baraka and more.
