FRESH APPLE, ORANGE, AND CRANBERRY SAUCE

Talasoubra-freshcranberry.png

This is one of the most unique cranberry sauce recipes you’ll come across. Because it’s made of fresh oranges, apples and cranberries, it both sweetens and cleanses your palate at the same time. Rather than weighing down your Thanksgiving menu, its role is to lighten the flavor tones. An added bonus of this recipe is that it’s best prepared one day in advance.

Fresh apple, orange, and cranberry sauce

  • 2 large oranges, whole

  • ½  lemon

  • 2 green apples

  • 340 grams of fresh cranberries, or 1 bag

  • ½ cup white sugar

Step 1: Fruit preparation

Since the fruits will go in whole, wash all the fruits. Cut the oranges, apples and lemons into four and discard the stems and seeds.

Step 2: Assembly

In a food processor, pulse the oranges, lemon, apples, and cranberries into a chunky paste, which should look similar to the photo above. I pulse the fruit in rounds, first the oranges and lemon, next the apples, and finally the cranberries. Once they are more or less combined, place the pulsed fruits in a large bowl, add the sugar, and mix. This recipe can be made a day ahead to save some time on the day. Serve the fresh cranberry sauce chilled or at room temperature to accompany your roast turkey.
